The board unanimously approves changes to the Business Economic Development Assistance (BEDA) program that was first created in the 2018-2019 fiscal year. The program requires the funds to be used for items attached to the building and not removable items like TVs, tables and chairs. Also, the business must remain in business for a year before BEDA funds are issued. Business signage will be expedited.
The village budgets $250,000 per year for the program, with a maximum of $50,000 per business, subject to meeting the requirements and board approval.
